Gale and I attended several professional development work days hosted by the Department of Ed over the past 3-4 months. We were fortunate to hear from well known speakers on topics ranging from technology to family centered support practices. As a result, one of the changes you will see is a "new look" to the activity forms used for home visiting. The forms will be delivered to your offices as soon as van mail is up and running! The suspense is killing you, right???
The expectation is for you to use the new forms with "new families" and "current families that are open to change" and provide feedback on "what you like, don't like, recommended changes, etc." We have produced a limited amount of copies and will be open to discussion at the November department meeting. We truely feel that the added information will keep family centered practices and principles as a priority in our work!
