Be Positive

"Stop thinking in terms of limitations; think in terms of possibilities." Our AEA is in a time of challenge as tough decisions are being made over the next weeks with staff reduction plans, office closings, etc. As a leader, I'm trying to keep a positive attitude and the first thought that comes to my mind is WOW - look at the expertise within our department. According to our Friday news, Melissa and Paula will celebrate 30 years with the AEA, Chrys will reach the milestone of 25 years, I've been here 15 years and Randi - 10 years. Celebrate! As you may have heard by now, Paula will be retiring along with Pat at the end of June. It is most likely that these positions will NOT be filled. (Two years ago ARRA funding allowed 2 additional positions in our AEA and that funding ends in June) Yes, this will mean changes for our department - I will plan to share information with you as I receive information.
